ModTech 2025 International Conference - Brief Overview

The ModTech2025 International Conference, held between June 11th and 14th, took place at the Tatra Hotel in the beautiful mountain resort of Zakopane, Poland. The conference was organized by the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice - Poland, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Technical Sciences Academy of Romania and Professional Association in Modern Manufacturing Technologies, ModTech - Iasi. The conference was held in hybrid format and brought together 103 participants; authors and co-authors of papers originated from 21 countries.

In the two plenary sessions, a total of five papers were presented by internationally recognized professors from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur-India, University of Yokohama in Japan, University Tor Vergata in Rome-Italy, University Putra Malaysia and University Wollongong in Australia.

Also, particularly interesting papers were presented by keynote speakers from Malaysia, India, Italy, Spain and Iraq.

The Octavian Pruteanu High Distinction, on behalf of the ModTech Professional Association, was awarded this year to distinguished professors Marcin Adamiak, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice - Poland and Gelu Ianuș, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi – Romania for outstanding results achieved throughout their academic career and for their involvement in the activities of the ModTech Professional Association.

As every year, the awards of the Professional Association in Modern Manufacturing Technologies, ModTech, were as follows:

√ Best Young Researcher, dr. Ferreiro Adalyz from the University Carlos III, Leganes-Madrid, Spain;

√ Best Scientific Article, dr. Oktawian Bialas from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice - Poland;

√ Best Book, prof. Nicușor Baroiu, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galati, Romania.

The Professional Association in Modern Manufacturing Technologies currently has more than 420 members and 13 branches abroad in universities or research institutes in Australia, Spain, Greece, Mexico, Mexico, Malaysia, Turkey, India, Iraq, South Korea, Japan, Poland, Republic of Moldova and Serbia.
